Hey hoomans,
It’s us—Callie, Seymour, Yebba, and Mama, your feline correspondents at STRAYZ Cat Collective. Normally, we're lounging in sunbeams or judging you from countertops, but today we’re reporting live from the floor of Retro Fitness Kenhorst, where something magical, unhinged, and purr-fectly ridiculous just happened…

🐾 Kitten Yoga. Real. Live. Tiny. Cats. On Yoga Mats.

We know, it sounds like something dreamed up in a catnip haze. But trust us—this wasn’t just a fluffy photo op. It was a soul-realigning, tail-flicking, serotonin-boosting hour of absolute joy hosted by the Animal Rescue League of Berks County and yoga goddess Liz Bentz of OTherapYoga.

And yes, we covered it as the top-tier feline journalists that we are. So here’s the full scoop.

🧘‍♀️ The Calm Before the Purricane

Picture this: A quiet, spacious studio. Soft lights. Peaceful music. A circle of humans warming up their downward dogs and seated twists. THEN BOOM.

Enter: A tidal wave of kittens.

Tiny, wobbly, uncoordinated little floofs spilled onto the yoga mats like popcorn on a hot skillet. One grey tabby immediately tried to eat a scrunchie. A tuxedo kitten power-slid into child’s pose. And every single participant melted into a puddle of giggles and awwwws.

Honestly? We were emotional.

🐱 “I Can’t Breathe, There’s a Kitten on My Chest”

No, seriously. That was overheard at least 4 times.

Liz Bentz, the calming force behind OTherapYoga, led the session with grace and laughter, adapting each pose to accommodate the occasional kitten detour (read: tiny claws to the neck mid-spinal twist). Her gentle flow let everyone participate regardless of skill level—or fur-related distractions.

Crowd Favorites:

  • The Surprise Lap Nap: One orange kitten fell asleep during pigeon pose. On someone’s hip.

  • The Hair Climber: A calico scaled a high bun and claimed victory.

  • The Meowditation: At least two kittens sang the song of their people during savasana. Respect.

🧶 Why This Event Mattered (Besides the Kitten Mayhem)

Let’s be real: yes, it was adorable. But it also served an incredible mission.

These kittens are all under the care of the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, and events like this help socialize them, reduce stress, and increase their chances of adoption. Humans get to bond with potential new fur babies, and kittens learn that laps = love (and not lava, contrary to popular cat belief).

Every ticket sold supported the ARL’s rescue programs and medical care. That’s the kind of yoga we can get behind—stretching for a cause.

🐾 Would We Go Again? In a Heartbeat.

Well, we can’t go because our schedule is booked with napping, judging, and knocking things off shelves, but YOU should absolutely go the next time this happens.

And guess what? You’ll hear about it first if you’re on the STRAYZ newsletter. We send VIP alerts for cat-friendly events, rescue stories, and discounts on our upcoming cat mom printables and merch. It’s like having a cat but in your inbox.

  • Where: Retro Fitness, Kenhorst, PA

  • When: June 27, 2025

  • What Happened: Grown adults lost their composure over kittens doing zoomies

If you missed it, stay tuned. We’re keeping close paws on ARL’s next event—and you should too.

🐾 Final Meows from the STRAYZ Squad

If you’re ever feeling lost, lonely, or just a little too serious, we highly recommend some kitten therapy. And while you're at it, support your local shelters. They’re doing the hard work—one paw at a time.

We’ll be back soon with more event highlights, product reviews, and tales from the litter box.

Until then:
Stay playful, stay loud, and don’t forget to arch that back.
